Pajaros

All the birds of the world came from the same place. Each dusk, a boy walks to the middle of the desert, spends 20 minutes thinking of freedom and lightness, and releases all his ideas as birds to the wind. They come out in a sudden wind, making spirals on their way up to the skies. They fly all the night and, by the morning we see them outside our kitchen windows, in front of our school, or in the way to work, gathering on the park.

The idea for this drawing came suddenly to my mind while in a very calm moment, almost thinking about nothing and everything at the same time. I saw it different, but two days later I sat at my desk and took the Wacom, and flowing it took this shape, less naive than my original idea, but much more powerful and dynamic. I think sometimes we may have dark thoughts. They can be hate, or feelings of payback, but mostly fears. Fears keep up from doing thing we really want to do. I wish you can open your head and let all those dark thoughts go, flying further and further away. Then you'll feel free, and happy, as you should. Being alive is awesome, damnit.
